Eyad Hourani is a Palestinian actor working across film, television and theatre. He played Tariq in Hany Abu-Assad’s Oscar-nominated Omar, and his screen credits include Rattle the Cage (Zinzana), The Idol and Vanguard, alongside Jackie Chan.
He began acting at fourteen with Theater Days Foundation and completed three years of training at The Freedom Theatre in Jenin, in cooperation with the Arab American University, graduating as an actor and drama coach.
His theatre work includes Animal Farm, Men in the Sun, Alice in Wonderland and Richard II, which was presented at Shakespeare’s Globe in the UK. He has also participated in acting and drama workshops in Germany, Vienna and New York, and directed the short film C the C.
He is the founder of Al Wojud Production Company. His producing and directing work includes Jenin’s Freedom Theatre (2024), a documentary broadcast on Al Jazeera English’s Witness programme.
